Runjia Chen is a young landscape architect and an advocate for the built environment. With backgrounds in landscape, architecture, communication, and practice experience in China, U.S. and Australia, Runjia developed her interest in anthropogenic landscapes and believes that deep connection and conscious design would lead to a more sustainable living.

In 2021, she was an editor of landscape architecture journal KERB, ‘WILD’ issue. Earlier this year, she curated and moderated a panel discussion around ‘the possibility of self-initiation’ as part of the Melbourne Design Week event, Making Future Landscapes Now, featuring international speakers across academia and practice.
