RMIT PlaceLab is a new research initiative with ‘living labs’ situated in Melbourne’s key areas of urban renewal, beginning with Brunswick and CBD North. Led out of RMIT’s College of Design & Social Context, it aims to explore hyperlocal place-making and place-based research questions. RMIT PlaceLab brings academic research ‘out on the street’ through collaboration with local communities, decision makers, and stakeholders to improve how and where we live.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the people of the Eastern Kulin Nations as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
