Young Workers Centre is a community legal centre and one-stop-shop for young workers to learn about their rights at work and who need assistance resolving workplace issues. Oanh Tran is the Young Workers Centre’s Principal Solicitor. Oanh grew up in a home sweatshop, where she and her siblings helped their parents sew thousands upon thousands of t-shirts. As a result, she devoted her life to working in and with unions, advocating for workers’ rights and fighting to end worker exploitation. Prior to YWC, Oanh has worked as judge’s associate, lawyer in private practise firms and union legal & industrial officer.
