Leigh Abernethy

Leigh dives deep into the layers of policy, operations and cultural context to identify where real change can deliver value.

Drawing on her formative experiences as a third-generation female art practitioner; youth space, gallery and public art manager; Leigh has been led to combine her urbanist skills with her understanding of creative industry needs. For over twenty years she has been working across capital cities and regional centres to embed creative and cultural outcomes within urban development stages, localised capacity building programs and pathways for government to place creative thinking at the start.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the people of the Eastern Kulin Nations as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
