Kate McCracken is a landscape architect at SBLA Studio, currently leading and involved in a number of projects that aim to repurpose existing materials on site. SBLA studio works to chip away at the business as usual approach within the construction industry to make room for testing and experimentation. Kate’s work at SBLA covers a broad range of project types including master planning, infrastructure, play, social housing and installation – exploring the ebb and flow between big picture strategies and getting into the nitty gritty of how stuff works.

As a designer and project manager Kate aims to actively take the learnings of each project onto the next allowing daily practice to exist as a constant feedback loop rather than a linear trajectory.
