Elise Northover is a Landscape Architect who works between practice at MALA Studio and teaching as a sessional staff member at RMIT, where she has worked since 2016. Elise has also taught Landscape Design at Melbourne Universities Burnley campus. She graduated with a Master of Landscape Architecture from RMIT, where she also completed her Bachelor of Design in Landscape Architecture.

Since 2018, Tom and Elise have been co-teaching both studios and seminars at RMIT under the name Future Operating Environments (F.O.E). Under F.O.E. they explore complex environments through the map, looking to proactively problem-identify rather than reactively problem-solve.
