Eleanor Vallier

Eleanor is a trained conservator with a passion for paintings and painted surfaces. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Art History) and a Master of Cultural Materials Conservation (Paintings) from the University of Melbourne. Having worked in private practice and art galleries in Australia, New Zealand and America, she returned to Naarm (Melbourne) in 2019, co-founding Care Of Studios. Eleanor is interested in working with contemporary artists and investigating non-traditional artists’ materials, through the lens of conservation. She is passionate about expanding awareness of the conservation industry, and increasing accessibility and diversity within it.
