Daniel Prohasky, CEO of Curvecrete, and architectural engineering lecturer at Swinburne University is a roboticist and architectural engineer on a mission towards a lower-carbon zero-waste exciting future for construction. Daniel championed Curvecrete’s solution to low-carbon zero-waste beautiful curved concrete which was awarded Endeavour awards sustainable solution of the year, 2022 and a Gold Good Design Tick, 2022. Daniel coinvented Curvecrete’s fit-for-purpose robotic systems of construction, which have now been demonstrated in the real world! The first project, a spiral stair to access the rooftop of one of Melbourne’s medium rise apartment buildings; it saved over 10 tonne in carbon emissions relative to a concrete box stairway, and is now enjoyed by the building residents.
