Anne-Marie is committed to tirelessly practising and advocating for culturally responsive and meaningful design processes through ensuring genuine collaborative engagement with First People’s communities. She encourages an understanding and respect of an ‘Indigenous way of knowing’ with the value this local community knowledge brings to design and has successfully implemented this approach through many of her projects working with Traditional Owners from across Victoria.

Her current roles include co-chair of AILA’s National ‘Connection to Country’ Committee and is a panel member for both the Victorian Design Review Panel and Melbourne Design Review Panel focusing on genuine and respectful involvement with Traditional Owners.
As part of her lead role at ASPECT Studios she heads the development and implementation of the practices’ National ‘C2C’ Strategy.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the people of the Eastern Kulin Nations as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
