Aimee Cooper

Aimee is the Head of Legal at the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission. The Legal Team at the Commission promotes equality and human rights through advocacy in the courts, investigations into serious and systemic conduct, and broader law reform initiatives. Aimee has a deep understanding of equality and human rights gained through over a decade of assisting the community to understand and enforce their rights prior to joining the Commission. Aimee was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2018 to research international equality frameworks and consider how equality bodies can be empowered to create equality. Aimee is also a member of the LGBTI Taskforce Justice Working Group.
